Introduction

This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) forms an integral part of the Membership Rules. You must read this Policy carefully before registering as a Member and using the Membership Services. The Policy explains how G2000 collects, records, holds or stores, secures, discloses, transfers, and otherwise processes (collectively, “process”) the Personal Data (as defined in the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap.486) of Hong Kong) provided by you to G2000.

G2000 may modify or update this Policy from time to time without prior notice and will publish the latest version via the G2000 Official Website or other appropriate means. By accessing the G2000 Official Website, clicking the “Read and Agreed” button on the Membership registration page, or using the G2000 Membership Services, you consent to G2000’s processing of your Personal Data in accordance with this Policy and agree to be bound by any subsequent changes effective upon posting of the latest version on the G2000 Official Website. Please check the G2000 Official Website regularly for updates.

G2000 grants no protection to your Personal Data that may be exposed on any third-party sites linked through the G2000 Official Website.

How does G2000 collect personal data?

G2000 may collect your Personal Data through the G2000 Official Website when you register or use various features or services offered by G2000, participate in social media activities, or via cookies (please refer to “About Cookies” separately contained). G2000 may also collect Personal Data via any of its physical stores in Hong Kong and Macau, whether in writing, verbally, by phone, email, or facsimile, through direct marketing, applications for G2000 Membership or employment, or any other means voluntarily provided by you.

Why does G2000 collect the Personal Data?

You consent to G2000’s processing of Personal Data for the following purposes (collectively, “Purposes”):

• To provide information related to our products, services, retail shops, e-commerce platforms and/or e-shops, latest offers, sales promotions, upcoming events, discounts, Rewards programs, direct marketing, and questionnaires; to process G2000 Membership applications, product and service payments; to conduct research, surveys, audits, reviews, and analyses to enhance G2000’s understanding of your shopping experience and preferences, thereby improving our products and services.
• To provide information related to G2000’s career opportunities; to communicate with job applicants, recruitment agencies (if any), banks, and employees; to process job applications; and to conduct research and analyses for human resources management and daily operations.
• To handle and respond to your inquiries, suggestions, and complaints.
• To comply with applicable laws, proceedings, or respond to inquiries from relevant authorities.

Whom does G2000 disclose the Personal Data?

To fulfill the Purposes, G2000 may disclose or transfer your Personal Data to the following parties (collectively, “Receiving Parties”) located within or outside Hong Kong:

• Other companies under the G2000 Group;
• Third-party service providers duly authorized by G2000 on a need-to-know basis;
• Court of law, auditors, brokers, insurers, adjusters, and/or consultants on a need-to-know basis; and/or
• Any other parties as may be permitted or required by applicable laws, proceedings, or relevant authorities.

How does G2000 transfer the Personal Data?

The Personal Data may be transferred to any of the Receiving Parties within or outside Hong Kong on a need-to-know basis to fulfill any of the Purposes, subject to compliance with applicable laws in Hong Kong as may be amended from time to time.

How secure is the Personal Data?

G2000 shall take practicable steps to protect the Personal Data it holds against unauthorized access or loss, including restricting access to authorized staff on a confidential and need-to-know basis, using secured servers, and applying encryption technologies such as Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) to protect information submitted voluntarily via the G2000 Official Website.

Retention of Personal Data, Access, Update and Opt-Out Mechanisms

Unless otherwise required by applicable laws in Hong Kong, your Personal Data will only be retained for as long as necessary to fulfill the Purposes stated above.
